“Giving Back” is something that we all do, GemaCo’s way is by recognizing the Artisans contribution to maintaining traditions, respecting nature, and loving their cultures as seen in the one-of-a-kind handcrafts they create.  Every year, with the help of our members, an artisan(s) are presented with the “Ema Award of Excellence in Craftsmanship” award.

Women have played important roles in many cultures, they have made sacrifices and tremendous contributions that changed the way we live and view the world today. In 2008 GemaCo honored the woman artisan for their contributions.
